Kaeng Krachan National Park

Thailand's Largest National Park

About

Kaeng Krachan National Park is Thailand's largest national park, covering over 74,000 acres of dense tropical jungle along the Myanmar border. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Southeast Asia's most important conservation areas.

The park features pristine rainforest, granite mountains, cascading waterfalls, and spectacular caves. It's home to elephants, leopards, bears, gibbons, and over 400 bird species, including rare hornbills.

Popular activities include hiking to waterfalls (Tho Thip and Pala-U are the most accessible), camping, and wildlife spotting. The park's scenic viewpoints offer stunning vistas, especially during the cool season when morning mist blankets the valleys.

The park is less crowded than other Thai national parks, offering a more authentic jungle experience for those willing to venture a bit further from Hua Hin.
